Our Mission

At St. Basil’s, we seek to glorify God through building up his church and reaching out to the world:

  • Devoted in Prayer

  • Rooted in God’s Word

  • Serving in Love

  • Proclaiming Christ

We are a welcoming Christian church in Artarmon, Sydney. If you live in or near Artarmon, we warmly invite you to connect with us at our various meetings.

We humans are meant to be morally and spiritually like our Creator: who is personal, loving, truthful, and just. We are answerable to our Maker, who will finally hold us to account. God does this by a person called Jesus Christ: crucified by wrongful human judgment, but raised from death by our Maker to be our judge, yet also to offer all humans deliverance from divine judgment.

The Bible says 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.' John 3:16

Ministry staff

Rev. David Lim

Senior Minister

David is married to Jo. They have 4 children. He studied medicine at UNSW before doing MTS with Campus Bible Study. After graduating from Moore Theological College, he became an assistant minister at Naremburn Cammeray Anglican church for 13 years. In 2017, he was invited to St Basil's as the Senior Minister. His passion is wanting people to know Jesus Christ and find eternal life in His name. This is a far greater need than saving people in the hospital. He would love to catch up with anyone for a coffee and explain this good news.

Jack Wong

Assistant Minister (Cantonese & Mandarin)

Married to his wonderful wife Cindy and father to three kids, Jack hails from the exquisite beaches of the Gold Coast and the bustling streets of Hong Kong. Having encountered God’s incredible grace in Jesus during his uni days, he is always looking forward to having good conversations about God and life with anyone and exploring rock pools with his family.

Ned Teuben

Assistant Minister (5pm Evening Church & Youth)

Ned is married to Beth, and they have one daughter. He came to faith in Jesus in Year 8 thanks to the faithful witness of his parents and youth ministry. Ned is keen to see other youth know the love of Jesus and see all people grow in their maturity in him. He loves cooking good food and being with his family at the beach.

Chris Tou

Student Minister (Moore Theological College)

Chris is married to Alice. He grew up in Macau but sadly can’t speak any Portuguese. He loves to share the greatness of the grace of Christ with others which he came to understand during his uni days. Chris also loves his steaks, and the best way to enjoy them is by sharing with family and friends.

Mark Chen

Student Minister (Moore Theological College)

Mark came to faith 13 years ago while he was in uni. He serves in the Mandarin congregation and loves seeing people from East Asia come to faith. His favourite sports are soccer and chess. Mark is married to June, and they have two lovely kids.
